The Toronto Fall Baroque Academy, now in its fourth year, is an intensive training program for advanced vocal soloists and period players. The Academy provides lectures, workshops, master classes, coaching and private lessons by leading artists from the Faculty of Music, Tafelmusik and the Theatre of Early Music. This year's guest faculty include John Abberger, Dr. Joshua Wales, Paula Skimin and Charlotte Nediger.
On Friday, September 28 Professor Emerita Mary Ann Parker will lecture on "The Origins of Handel's Choral Style," as part of the symposium celebrating her time at the Faculty of Music. Professor Parker will be joined by colleagues, friends and distinguished guest speakers - Professor Suzanne Aspden, Oxford University, Professor Estelle Joubert, Dalhousie University and Professor Emeritus Domenico Pietropaolo, University of Toronto.
