Gerstein Lecture: Engaging Experimental Opera: Chaya Czernowin's Infinite Now (2017)

Israeli-born Harvard-based composer Chaya Czernowin (b. 1957) has a reputation for music theater works that are both challenging and engaging. In this talk I try out some strategies for engaging with experimental opera, using her award-winning 2017 Infinite Now as a case study.
