“Only one of them is Iranian”. That’s what surprised Pedram Khavarzamini (World Music Visitor (2015-2016) when he started teaching UofT Music students this year.

Toronto is among the most diverse cities in the world and we are a proud reflection of our city. Pedram is one of the most sought after teachers of traditional Tombak in the world and is known as a composer, teacher and cross-cultural collaborator.
