Music Theory Alumni Landing New Jobs

Several alumni of our PhD program in music theory are starting new jobs this fall!

Scott Hanenberg (PhD 2018) and Caitlin Martinkus (PhD 2017), both formerly at the Cleveland Institute of Music, have accepted positions teaching music theory at Pennsylvania State University.

Michelle Grosser (PhD 2024) has been appointed Assistant Professor of Music Theory at Jacksonville State University.

Emma Soldaat (PhD 2025) has accepted a postdoctoral research position at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem starting this fall.

Finally, Alexis Millares Thompson (PhD 2025) will join our own theory faculty as a sessional lecturer in January.
