David Breitman, professor of Historical Performance at the Oberlin Conservatory, will bring his replica of an 1819 Viennese piano to the stage. With musical examples from Beethoven, Schubert, and Schumann, Professor Breitman will demonstrate the instrument and discuss what today’s players can lear from it.
Audience members will have a chance to try the piano at the end of the presentation.
