Tariq Harb (DMA 2014) has quickly established himself as one of the leading classical guitarists of his generation. Chosen as CBC Radio's NEXT! guitarist in 2013, he was celebrated as "Canada's next classical guitar superstar" and was showcased performing at the Glenn Gould studios in Canada, which helped further propel his career worldwide.
Canadian baritone Korin Thomas-Smith (BMusPerf2018, MMus2020) is a recent graduate of U of T, where he had the opportunity to work with Eric Owens, Stephen Wadsworth and Jessye Norman. Korin won the 2019 Norcop Prize in Song, curated the Voice Area's Celebrating Our Diversity initiative, and received a Graduating Award in June.
