The Accessibilty Services team will help you navigate disability-related barriers at U of T for your ongoing or temporary disability. They provide services and support for learning, problem solving, and inclusion.
On-Location Accessibility Services Counsellor – Michael Mercer
Michael Mercer is the the On-Location Accessibility Services Counsellor. Music students are eligible to meet with Michael on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays between 9am-5pm. He is located in Office 001 at Trinity College (6 Hoskin Avenue). Michael will be able to provide counselling on the accommodations required in your classes to be successful in them. In order to be eligible to meet with him, you must be registered with Accessibility Services. If you are already registered with the services, please call the central office at (416) 978-8060 to book your first appointment.
How to Register with Accessibility Services:
Students with a documented disability who may be eligible for accommodations are required to complete the relevant intake package: https://www.studentlife.utoronto.ca/as/new-registration. Once your application has been approved, you will be notified whether your intake meeting and future sessions will be with a central Accessibility Advisor or with the On Location advisor.

Peer Advisor Drop-In Sessions at Accessibility Services
For answers to the above questions (and more), connect with a Peer Advisor during Peer Advisor Drop-In Hours. Peer Advisors are available daily on Monday – Friday from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. through the virtual Live-Chat with Us feature on our department page. Peer Advisors will also be available in-person at Accessibility Services Main Office, 455 Spadina Avenue, every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
Registration is not required; simply chat with us online or drop by our office.
Peer Advisor Drop-in Sessions are designed for students who are registered with or thinking about registering with Accessibility Services to chat with their peers and learn more about using accommodations. Peer Advisors can’t advise you on your specific accommodations or inform you of possible outcomes of your requests. For these inquiries, please connect with your Accessibility Advisor.
