Undergraduate Fees & Financial Support

A student reading in the Music Library

At the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Music, we understand that financial considerations can play a significant role in your academic journey, and we’re committed to helping students access the support they need to pursue their goals.

Each year, we offer a wide range of entrance scholarships recognizing both musical excellence and academic achievement. In addition to faculty-specific awards, students may also be eligible for centrally administered entrance scholarships through the University of Toronto. Once enrolled, students can access a variety of in-course funding opportunities including scholarships, bursaries, and awards through a competitive application process. Complementing these resources is the University of Toronto Advanced Planning for Students (UTAPS), a comprehensive financial aid program, designed to support students throughout their academic journey.

This section provides an overview of the many funding streams available, along with general information about tuition fees and financial planning.

In addition to the resources mentioned here, prospective students and their families may wish to consider additional funding sources beyond those offered by the government and institution. These may include RESPs; external awards and scholarships offered by community organizations or companies; financial assistance and loans offered through banks and credit unions; part-time employment income; and contributions from family members.
