Employment Opportunities in and around the Faculty of Music

During the academic year, students may take advantage of employment opportunities within the Faculty of Music: orchestra managers, cloakroom attendants, ushers, library assistants, student ambassadors, and occasional office assistance.

Requests for student musicians for events within the University and outside are also available through the Music Booking Office.

Be sure to look at the Performance Office SharePoint page for other performance opportunities.

Further information about the various employment opportunities are listed in the Student Handbook.

Work Study Program

The University of Toronto Work Study program offers an opportunity to registered students to gain meaningful work experience by working part-time on campus. In most cases, the job offers more than the financial benefits by providing practical experience related to the student's program of study. The Work Study program is open to both full-time and part-time undergraduate students (i.e. domestic and international students) and graduate students.

Students do not need to be OSAP eligible to apply for Work Study. Refer to the university's Financial Aid page for more details.

Work Study positions are usually posted on the Career Learning Network website after the first week of August. Positions for the summer are usually posted mid-April.
