Scholars-in-Residence

Visiting Scholars-in-Residence Program

The Visiting Scholars-in-Residence program at U of T Music provides our community with rich opportunities for interaction with the world's leading scholars, composers, and performers. Students, faculty, the university community, and the general public look forward to exchanging ideas and sounds with visitors brought to U of T Music.

Visiting Scholars are faculty members and research fellows at other institutions who are invited to campus by a faculty member to conduct collaborative research activities. Activities academic visitors conduct on campus include research in collaboration with faculty, and short-term seminars, lectures, or panels. Scholars are provided with a workspace at the Edward Johnson Building or the South Music Building, and access to the University of Toronto Libraries.

Interested scholars must coordinate their visit with a subdivision of the Faculty, the faculty member(s) interesting in hosting the scholar, and email the Office of the Dean for additional information.
