Keys & Fobs

Fob Access at the Faculty of Music

The 90 Wellesley building is kept locked and is only accessible to our students, staff, and faculty who have an active fob. Additionally, the practice rooms at the EJB and some other interior doors in both buildings require a fob for access. All registered undergraduate and graduate students at the Faculty of Music are eligible to receive a fob.  Fobs are available beginning Registration Week in September and throughout the year.

If you have not yet received your fob, or if you require a replacement fob, click here to fill out the form and pay online. There is a deposit required for all fobs issued.

Fobs are issued by the University of Toronto Campus Safety.  The great thing about this lock system is that it will help us to control the access to the practice rooms and to ensure that the space is used only by people who are properly affiliated with the Faculty of Music (current students, teaching faculty, and staff).  For security reasons, fobs are not transferable and should never be lent out to others.

We highly recommend that you secure your fob on a keychain! If you have lost your fob, please inform the Registrar's Office immediately.

To use the fob, you present it to the fob reader by one of the doors. You will see the light momentarily turn from red to green.  When you see the green light, the door will be unlocked and you can pull the door open.  The green light will then change back to red, indicating that the door is locked.

Direct any fob inquiries to reception.music@utoronto.ca.
