Graduate Fees & Financial Support Funding Packages
Graduate funding packages are available by program. Students receiving funding packages are also expected to apply for external scholarships.
Master of Music: All MMus applicants will be considered for merit-based scholarships with the Faculty of Music at the time of the audition. MMus students are encouraged to apply for external scholarships.
The guaranteed funding package includes: tuition + incidental fees + $17,500 Stipend (stipend is inclusive of up to 140 hours of a TA position salary).
The guaranteed funding package is available for Year 1 only. It includes: tuition + incidental fees + $17,500 Stipend (stipend is inclusive of up to 140 hours of a TA position salary). MA students receiving a funding package are expected to also apply for external scholarships; support with applications is available from the Music Research Office and Graduate Office.
The guaranteed funding package is available in Year 1 to 4.* It includes: $40,000 (tuition + incidental fees + Stipend). Stipend is inclusive of up to 140 hours of a TA position salary. PhD students receiving a funding package are expected to also apply for external scholarships; support with applications is available from the Music Research Office and Graduate Office.
*Direct entry PhD students in Musicology, Ethnomusicology, and Music Theory will receive the guaranteed funding package in Year 1 to 5.
The guaranteed funding package is available in Year 1 to 4: Domestic tuition + incidental fees + $5000 Stipend (stipend includes up to $2,500 of TA salary). DMA students receiving a funding package are expected to also apply for external scholarships. Support with applications is available from the Music Research Office and Graduate Office.
