Tuition & Fees
Tuition & Fees
Tuition fees are established by the Governing Council of the University of Toronto and are subject to change at any time.
Annual fees for registration consist of various components including:
- Academic Fees (including instruction and library)
- Incidental/Ancillary Fees (including Athletics, Health Services, Student Organizations, etc.)
Ancillary Fees (program specific charges e.g. recital fee)
Academic Fees
Faculty of Music students pay tuition as a program fee which is a flat-rate amount charged for the Fall-Winter academic session regardless of a student's course (provided it is within a defined range); this covers tuition at the program level rather than billing by an individual course.
- All students in the Degree programs are charged a program fee for the four years of study.
- Students in the Artist Diploma are charged a program fee for the three years of study.
Tuition Fee Categories
Fees vary depending on the program of study and year of admission to the Faculty of Music, as well as your legal status: Domestic (Ontario or Non-Ontario Resident) or International.
Domestic Tuition Rate:
- Students who are Canadian citizens, permanent residents or protected persons are charged domestic fees. Undergraduate students are billed Domestic Ontario resident tuition fees or Domestic non-Ontario resident tuition fees.
- Eligible students may apply to be billed as a domestic Ontario resident with a fee exemption
International Tuition Rate:
- Students who are not Canadian citizens or permanent residents are charged the international student fee, unless the student has received an International Fee Exemption.
