Health & Wellness Services
Accessibility Services
This confidential service helps registered students to navigate their disability and related barriers and provides peer support. The University of Toronto supports academic accommodations for students whose learning is impacted by disabilities/conditions including those related to mental health, learning disabilities, autism, ADHD, mobility, functional/fine motor ability, concussion/head injury, vision, chronic health, addictions, being D/deaf/deafened/hard of hearing, communication disorders, and temporary disabilities (e.g. fractures, severe sprains, recovery from an operation).
- Phone: 416-978-8060
- 455 Spadina Avenue, 4th floor, Suite 400
- Accessibility Services Website
Students with a documented disability who may be eligible for accommodations are required to complete the relevant intake package available to facilitate the registration process.
Once your application has been reviewed, you will be notified as to whether your intake meeting and future sessions will be with a central Accessibility Advisor at the Spadina location or with Chelle Carter, who is the On Location Accessibility Services Counsellor for Music students. Chelle can advocate for student accessibility needs within U of T and assist students with securing academic accommodations (such as extensions, testing accommodations, and peer notes) and securing funding for disability-related supports (such as counselling, tutoring, adaptive technology, etc.).
Peer Advisor Drop-in Sessions are designed for students who are registered with or thinking about registering with Accessibility Services to chat with their peers and learn more about using accommodations.
