MA in Musicology

MINIMUM ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must hold an appropriate Bachelor of  Arts specialist degree or Bachelor of Music degree from a recognized university, with an average standing equivalent to a University of Toronto mid-B or better over the final two years. Applicants whose undergraduate degrees do not meet this standard may be required to take up to a full year of prerequisite courses.

Exceptional applicants with an undergraduate degree may apply directly to the five-year full-funded Direct Entry PhD program.  Please see' Direct Entry PhD' in the degree drop-down menu for more information on this option.

Language Requirements

Applicants from universities outside Canada where English is not the primary language of instruction must provide results of an English language proficiency examination as part of their application. Tests must have been taken within the last 24 months as the time at the time of submission of their application. The following are acceptable examinations and minimum scores:
