U of T Opera presents Spotlight on Diversity

Spotlight on Diversity, an initiative by U of T Opera seeks to curate and detail the diverse and rich history that marginalized groups have in Classical music, and the contributions they have made and continue to make in our Operatic world. The programme theme — connection— is expressed in three ways. Connection as the way we relate to others, to our space, to the land we occupy. Connection that our diverse identities have with what is seen as a static and archaic art form and connection of othered people to a musical future, but also to a developed past.

This concert will be broadcast on Friday, March 26 at 5:30 pm. A link to the broadcast wil be posted closer to the event date.

Made possible in part by a generous gift from Marina Yoshida.

Visit U of T Opera and follow them on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
