This masterclass is taking place in Geiger-Torel Room at the Edward Johnson Building.

In conjunction with her performance of Schubert’s Die Winterreise with Music Toronto, singer and pianist Rachel Fenlon will give a master class for piano-voice duos from the University of Toronto and the Glenn Gould School.

Music Toronto offers free student tickets for our concerts. To acquire a ticket for the Rachel Fenlon concert each student needs to write to tickets@music-toronto.com and state where they are a student. Requests need to be made before 12pm Feb 11, the day of the concert. We’ll send them an e-ticket.

Arts workers including UofT faculty are eligible for arts worker tickets. These are only available at the box office or by calling 416 366-7723, 1, 1 M-F 1-6 pm. 

The concert takes place on Feb 11, 7:30 pm at the St. Lawrence Centre, Jane Mallett Theatre.

BIOGRAPHY

Rachel Fenlon is a soprano and pianist who is finding a unique voice on the classical music stages of the world. Rachel performs song recitals as both singer and pianist accompanying herself, performs as an operatic soloist, as well as being a frequent interpreter of contemporary and chamber music. She has carved a courageous career and place on the international scene, praised for her “unusually shaped recitals in keeping with her extraordinary talent” (Places des Arts/Festival de Lanaudière). Rachel was born in the UK, raised on the west coast of Canada, and is now based in Berlin.
