In this virtual lecture conductor Daniel Bartholomew-Poyser, 2021-2022 Wilma and Clifford Smith Visitor in Music, will address the current state of the Orchestral music industry and detail how artists today are surviving and often thriving. Bartholomew-Poyser will discuss how the industry has changed and is changing, what students might expect as they enter into it, and the mindsets that are proving helpful to those of us currently working.

The Smith Visitor lecture will take place on Zoom and will include a Q&A moderated by Prof. Gillian MacKay.
