Biography

Blake Markle has over two decades of experience in higher education IT and AV operations, including 14 years leading classroom technology and video production at University of Toronto Scarborough.  Blake has overseen large-scale technology projects across the university, including award-winning lecture recording initiatives and the development of campus-wide AV design standards. He is passionate about creating inclusive, technology-enhanced learning environments that empower both faculty and students.

Blake holds a Master of Arts in Music Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Physics from McGill University, and is currently completing a Master of Education in Curriculum and Pedagogy (Digital Technologies in Education) at OISE. A lifelong musician and advocate for creative technology, he brings to his work a unique blend of technical leadership, artistic sensibility, and commitment to academic innovation.
