Biography

Vocalist, producer, and songwriter Jacqueline Teh is widely recognized for her captivating vocal arrangements and limitless songwriting. Her voice, described by CBC Music as “a summer breeze - warm and inviting”, can be heard on her solo debut album “Waves” as well as her sophomore EP, “Crush”, which blends English lyrics with Mandarin and Hokkien, her mother tongue. Jacqueline is also featured on Robert Lee’s latest modern jazz album “Forbidden West” and jazz/R&B band Moodset’s debut album “Let's Talk”. Her songwriting can be found on Sammy Jackson’s Juno Award-winning album “With You” and latest album “In the Meantime”. Jacqueline has performed at the Toronto Jazz Festival, Jade Music Fest in Taiwan, Toronto, and Vancouver, the Markham Jazz Festival, and Jazz FM’s Live-to-Air Series. Along with her songwriting endeavours, Jacqueline cares deeply about music education. In addition to being on faculty at the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Music where she teaches jazz voice, Jacqueline is also the executive director and choral conductor for St. James Town Community Arts, a non-profit organization providing free arts education to children and youth in Toronto.
