Neil Spaulding

Biography

Born in England but effectively a lifelong Torontonian, Neil has had a varied and interesting musical career. Currently he holds the position of Second Horn with the Hamilton Philharmonic Orchestra where he is also Personnel and Operations Manager. He has performed with many orchestras across Canada including the Canadian Opera Company, the National Ballet, the Victoria Symphony, the Winnipeg Symphony, and Symphony Nova Scotia.

Enjoying both chamber and new music Neil has appeared with the Music Toronto Chamber Series, Continuum, Array Music, the Esprit Orchestra and at The Festival of the Sound as a member of the Festival Winds. For many years Neil plied his trade in the musical theatre pits of Toronto. He has also performed in the backing groups of variety of artists, including Brian Wilson, Ray Charles, Diana Krall, Dionne Warwick, and the rock band YES.
