Rachel Loo

Biography

Rachel joined the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Music in 2023 having previously held the roles of General Manager and Operations Manager of Esprit Orchestra where her organizational and creative skills ensured successful performance seasons for musicians, donors, and patrons. There she managed fundraising and stewardship efforts, including creating new fundraising programs leading to new donations for the organization. Most recently Rachel was Alumni Relations Officer at Branksome Hall where she was liaison for volunteers and developed and implemented programs for alumni, leading to meaningful relationships for graduates and their alma mater. Rachel has a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of British Columbia as a double major in general studies (viola) and human geography, which fostered a deep understanding and appreciation for the experience and community of music in a higher education setting.
