Biography

Sebastiano (Sebastian) Bisciglia is Director of Information & Learning Technology. He provides guidance on the technologies crucial to administering and delivering the Faculty of Music's programs. Previously, Sebastian was the Faculty of Music’s first in-house Educational Technology specialist (2017–2021) and an Academic Specialist (Music Instructional Technology Developer) at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music (2014–2017). Sebastian earned a Ph.D. in music theory from the Eastman School of Music and has taught at several post-secondary music institutions (McGill University Schulich School of Music, Eastman School of Music, Oberlin College Conservatory, University of Toronto Faculty of Music). Sebastian leverages his subject-matter expertise and experience in the classroom in serving the Faculty of Music community. Sebastian feels fortunate that his job combines two of his longstanding passions: music and technology.
