Biography

Tim Neufeldt is an instructional librarian and adjunct professor at the Faculty of Music, University of Toronto, receiving his Ph.D. in Musicology in 2006 and Masters in Library Science in 2010. Dr. Neufeldt is active in both fields, with recent articles appearing in Music Reference Services Quarterly, The Journal of British Studies, and MLA Notes. A forthcoming publication on the collected works of John Eccles is imminent from A-R Press. His current research interests include information literacy, and music societies and sheet music publications in early Canada (ca. 1867-1920).

One of Tim’s favourite library activities is supporting students’ and faculty’s research needs through one-on-one consultations and through embedded library instruction in partnership with other courses offered at the Faculty of Music. He also teaches MUS1000 Introduction to Music Research I, along with Arts & Science electives.
