Faculty of Music Students Win Top Honours at Game Design Showcase
On April 12, 2025, 157 teams from 25 colleges and universities gathered and celebrated at the Westin Harbour Castle in Toronto for the Level Up Showcase. Students in the Interactive Music & Sound for Video Games course, mentored by game audio veteran and Music Technology instructor Mason Victoria, were part of the prizewinning teams:
Cooking with a Gun received 1st place for the Achievement in Audio award and 3rd place for Best Overall Game. U of T Music students include Anthony Gunadi and Peter Zougas, collaborating with computer science students from U ofT and animation students from Centennial College.
Frankenpets received 3rd place in the People’s Choice Award. U of T Music students include Qiunuo Zuo and Kyle Meng, collaborating with computer science students from U of T and animation students from OCADU.
